A first impression of Torredonjimeno. I will update this show with extra pictures when I have them available.
The fountain at the Plaza de la Constitucion.
And the fountain in the Parque Municipal.
I visited the festivity of the Dia Mundial del Alzheimer, in a nice parc with nice trees. There I was halted by a woman from France living here who speaks french (yes !) and we had a nice conversation. She bought me a beer and then a sandwich de lomo a ajillo, after which she introduced me to some friends. I had a very nice afternoon, and there were 🥂 lots of drinks. They offered me paella as well but it was just to much for me, thank you. There also was patisserie that I could not resist (for the first time this year, I do not eat sugar actually).
And there was a secret (so homemade) drink : strong coffee with anis. The mixture "was Unknown" but estimation was 50-50. Maybe some more, of one of the ingredients. It was all Very Yammy !
Last but not least there was a lottery and I was sure I would 🏆 win something. Which would be for the first time in my life haha. I didn't ... But since I can hardly understand the spanish numbers maybe I did win but didn't know that. Then to my surprise one of the winners came along to share his price, and once more I couldn't resist that ! Very Yammy 2 !
In the castle you can admire beautiful treasures :
And in that same castle you also find the archeological museum.
Then there were fireworks to end the week of festivias in style.

I had a nice and calm tentspot directly next to the Via Verde del Aceite, the Green Cycleway of the Oliveoil. There I bothered nobody and nobody bothered me. Except for one time when a man and two policeofficers showed up. My passport was checked and they informed me the oliveyard would have a pesticide-shower about a week later. "Have a nice day and stay" they wished me. Thank you so much, and all the same to you.
The town honors it's emigrants but I could not found why. Those are people who left, so there have been bad times. Where did they go, to the USA maybe, or to South-America where spanish is a common language ? Hopefully they managed to make a better life.
And now, what is next ? I don't know yet ! Besides the answer to that question, I am already an emigrant ...
